Pak security forces gun down seven more militants
PESHAWAR: Pakistani security forces today gunned down seven more terrorists in an ongoing operation in the restive northwestern part of the country, bringing the toll to 14 since the start of the operation on Tuesday.

The security forces conducted search and strike operation in Dera Ismail Khan district bordering South Waziristan Agency.

At least 13 suspects were arrested in the operation carried out at various parts of the Kulachi tehsil of the district.

The security forces, earlier on Tuesday, raided the areas Kulachi tehsil of the district and surrounding areas and killed at least five terrorists and arrested four on the first day of operation whereas yesterday two terrorists were killed and 13 arrested, police said.

A curfew has been in place in Kulachi for the past three days whereas all schools in the area have reportedly been closed indefinitely.

The search operation is still underway in the area. Meanwhile, police also recovered three bullet riddled bodies of unidentified persons near Shrokehna area.

The bodies were shifted to the Maulana Mufti Mahmood Hospital for postmortem.
