'Our hands are on the trigger...': Houthis warn of intervention as US-Israel war on Iran intensifies
Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said on Friday (March 27) they were ready to intervene militarily if other countries joined the United States and Israel in their war against Iran, or if the Red Sea was used to launch attacks on the Islamic Republic. Military spokesperson Yahya Sarea made the remarks in a televised speech as the U.S.-Israeli war on Tehran approached the end of its fourth week. “We affirm that our hands are on the trigger for direct military intervention in any of the following cases: The joining of any additional alliances with the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of jihad and resistance. The use of the Red Sea to carry out hostile operations by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran or against any Muslim country. We will not allow that,” Yahya Sarea said.
