"Highest amounts expected between mile marker 215 and 225 along the Parks Highway. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Visit 511.alaska.gov or call 5 1 1 for the latest road conditions," the NWS advisory read.

Although the 15-inch forecast comes from NWS Anchorage, the National Weather Service Fairbanks office has also issued separate winter weather advisories for parts of Alaska. The NWS has forecast 4-8 inches of snow in southern Denali Borough and around 6-12 inches in eastern Alaska Range south of Trims Camp.
Other Alaska areas under winter weather advisories
The Southern Denali Borough advisory covers Cantwell and part of the Parks Highway, while the Eastern Alaska Range advisory includes the Richardson Highway corridor near Trims Camp. The National Weather Service's Fairbanks office has classified these areas under winter weather advisories rather than the 15-inch winter storm warning issued by its Anchorage office.Driving conditions could become more difficult if temperatures climb above freezing, causing snowfall to turn wet and heavy. The forecast suggests snow could mix with or change to rain on Friday afternoon, potentially creating additional hazards for motorists.
