'No one at White House ordered...': Rubio rejects claim Trump ordered Ukraine Starlink slowdown

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday denied that the White House ordered a slowdown of satellite internet services used by Ukraine. Rubio pushed back against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s claim that the restrictions affecting Kyiv’s military operations were deliberate. “Nobody” at the White House ordered the service to be slowed, Rubio said, adding that the disruption appeared to have been resolved. “No one at the White House ordered anyone to slow down internet or slow down speeds so that certain drones couldn’t use it,” Rubio told reporters. His remarks came after Zelenskyy said Ukraine had evidence that the restrictions on the satellite system were part of a “planned operation.”
