Massive scuffle between German police, protestors outside AfD congress in Riesa
Scuffles erupted between protesters and police ahead of a party congress of Germany’s far-right AfD in Riesa on Saturday (January 11). Busses from all over Germany arrived in the eastern German city in the early morning near the party congress location, following a protest call from a group of several NGOs. Police tried to remove protesters from the street to secure AfD delegates access to the congress venue.
