Martha Stewart throws support behind 2024 Presidential candidate: Who's got her endorsement?
US Presidential Election 2024: Martha Stewart endorsed Kamala Harris for the upcoming presidential election during an interview at the 2024 Retail Influencer CEO Forum. Stewart, who had previously supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 and avoided endo...

“I’ll absolutely be tuning in,” said Stewart about watching the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. When asked about her candidate of choice, she declared, “Kamala,” making sure to pronounce the name correctly. Stewart mentioned her preference for Harris stems from wanting a president “who doesn’t hate New York” and “doesn’t hate democracy.”
In 2016, Stewart publicly backed Hillary Clinton and expressed concerns about Trump’s capability to lead. After Trump won that election, she congratulated him, noting there was now a “true entrepreneur in the White House.” However, she refrained from endorsing any candidate in the 2020 election, citing her connection to readers with diverse views.
Stewart’s history with Trump includes a public disagreement when both had their versions of The Apprentice in 2006. She claimed Trump did not honor an agreement to leave her show as the sole version, which led to a public feud.
Stewart previously joked about Trump during a 2008 episode of her show, remarking on Trump-branded steaks after a joke by comedian Joan Rivers. They both laughed when Stewart quipped, “Too bad!” referring to Trump.
Stewart’s current endorsement adds to the political endorsements surrounding the 2024 election season.
