'Mamdani, you can’t hide': NYC Mayor heckled by pro-Palestinian protesters at October 7 memorial
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani faced a hostile reception at an October 7 vigil in Union Square, where pro-Palestinian protesters booed and heckled him, calling him a 'traitor,' 'coward' and 'sellout.' The confrontation came after Mamdani’s anniversary statement, in which he condemned the Hamas-led October 7 attack and acknowledged the Israelis killed and taken hostage, before turning his focus to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, which he described as an 'ongoing genocide.'
