UK: Keir Starmer confirmed today that Britain is surrendering its last territory in the Indian Ocean to Mauritius under a deal that will cost taxpayers £ 101 million a year. The Prime Minister made the announcement this afternoon after an 11th-hour legal bid to halt it failed. He insisted that the UK had little choice, because of rulings by the International Criminal Court, which are only advisory.
