LinkedIn outage was among the top trends on social media
LinkedIn, a platform owned by Microsoft, has announced its restoration following a brief period of downtime affecting numerous users. At its peak, over 48,000 outage reports were registered in the U.S. on Downdetector.com, highlighting the extent of the disruption. This outage became a significant topic of discussion on X, previously known as Twitter.

On Wednesday, LinkedIn had acknowledged the issues faced by some users and initiated an investigation into the matter. Similarly, Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram encountered a prolonged outage on Tuesday, affecting a substantial number of users worldwide due to a technical glitch.

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone addressed the situation, acknowledging the difficulties users were experiencing and assuring that efforts were underway to resolve the issue promptly. This outage also garnered attention on X, with many users reporting sudden logouts from Meta-owned social media platforms.


"LinkedIn down? You can’t tell me they aren’t intentionally taking down social media platforms… between meta yesterday and LinkedIn today that’s awfully fishy," said an user.
