'Lebanese forces must fully commit...': US applauds Lebanon’s move to control weapons
The U.S. welcomes the Lebanese government's decision to task the Lebanese Armed Forces to bring all weapons under state control, a spokesperson for the State Department said on Thursday. The U.S. has presented Lebanon with a plan for Hezbollah disarmament by year-end, along with ending Israel's military operations in the country and the withdrawal of its troops from five positions in south Lebanon.
