The private jet, believed to be worth $2 million, was en route from Austin, Texas, to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it smashed into the Greenacres mobile home community.Videos captured the plane diving toward the ground before it burst into a huge fireball, leaving a crater at the crash site.
The jet hit a tree and knocked down power lines. The crash was so loud that one witness said it “sounded like a missile,” according to Aviation 24/7.
The crash site is about four miles south of an airport in West Palm Beach. US President Donald Trump had left the airport more than an hour before the crash, CNN reported.

The plane crashed in Greenacres, a community of mobile and modular homes near Palm Springs. Images from the scene show the wreckage of the jet and a damaged mobile home. The crash site is about nine miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach County. At the scene, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the crash to reporters.
“It was a cataclysmic plane crash,” DeSantis said. “It looked like a missile going down and left a big crater on the side of the road.” The FAA has not yet confirmed what caused the crash.
According to FlightRadar24, the plane was manufactured in 2004 and had the tail number: N722BD. The nine victims of the crash have not yet been named. Also, authorities have yet to detail how many of the victims were passengers and how many were members of the plane’s crew.
