Bangladesh-Canada dispute lies in Ottawa's decision not to extradite Noor Chowdhury, who has openly admitted to being the perpetrator behind the assassination of Bangladesh's founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Bangladesh-Canada dispute lies in Ottawa's decision not to extradite Noor Chowdhury, who has openly admitted to being the perpetrator behind the assassination of Bangladesh's founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Momen also expressed his nation's apprehensions regarding the presence of S.H.M.B. Noor Chowdhury in Canada since 1996.
Chowdhury is a key accused in the 1975 assassination of Bangladesh's former President, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, along with most of his family.
Notably, Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Sheikh Mujib, is currently serving as Bangladesh's Prime Minister.
