Kharg Island under FIRE! US, Israel bomb Iran's oil hub ahead of Strait of Hormuz deadline

The United States has again attacked Iran’s economic lifeline. Explosions were reported on the Islamic Republic’s Kharg Island on Tuesday (April 7), just hours before US President Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran to make a deal and open the Strait of Hormuz ends. Located off Iran’s western coast, Kharg Island is home to a major oil terminal from which nearly all the country’s oil is exported. The attack comes following Trump’s several threats to bomb the small island or to seize it. The US conducted strikes on military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island. The attacks did not target oil facilities on the island, a US official told CNN.
