Kevin Spacey ‘plays victim,’ demands $100K to vacate Baltimore home sold to investor
Kevin Spacey is demanding $100,000 to vacate his Baltimore residence, despite it being sold to a new owner. The property was foreclosed and auctioned after Spacey fell behind on payments. The new owner, Sam Asgari, alleges that Spacey's actions am...

Real estate investor Sam Asgari purchased the property for $3.24 million. Asgari alleges Spacey’s demand for money to leave the property amounts to extortion. He stated, “He asked me for $100,000 to leave the property on November 17 and I said no but he said that was his final offer."
Asgari is planning legal action, asserting that Spacey is overstaying and causing financial strain. Asgari claims the situation is costing him $40,000 monthly in fees, taxes, and utilities.
Spacey attempted to challenge the sale of the home, which he bought for $5.65 million in 2017. Due to legal procedures, Spacey can remain in the property until the court approves the sale, which can take months.
Emails in court filings reveal Asgari offered Spacey $50,000 to vacate by September 15. Spacey's team countered, suggesting he could stay until February if he did not interfere with the sale. Spacey has also claimed he is being bullied by Asgari.
Asgari and his broker, Sam Sheibani, cannot access the property beyond the gatehouse. Sheibani expressed frustration, saying they have tried to remain polite but found Spacey uncooperative. "He's not giving any reason for why he won't leave, like he's homeless or something," Sheibani said. "It's really odd. On what planet is it okay for you to hold someone's property and demand crazy money if they want to get it back?"
Spacey has faced financial issues since a court ordered him to pay $31 million to the producers of "House of Cards" in 2022.
