Fox News host Jesse Watters faced backlash after making controversial comments about Vice President Kamala Harris during a panel discussion. When asked to retract his statement, Watters insisted he did not mean it in a sexual way. Despite his defense, the remarks led to heavy criticism, with many calling for Watters' dismissal.

During a panel discussion, Jesse Watters questioned Kamala Harris' foreign policy capabilities. “What is her foreign policy? This is where the president has his most impact. You have a lot of room to maneuver there as commander-in-chief. We don’t know who she is. We don’t know what she believes. She’s going to get paralyzed in the Situation Room while the generals have their way with her,” he said.

The comment elicited immediate reactions from the two women on the panel, who admonished Watters and asked him to take back his words. Instead of retracting, Watters clarified, "Have their way with her. Control her. Not in a sexual way." This clarification was made with a grin, prompting chuckles from the panel.

As the video of the incident went viral, criticism intensified. Critics labeled Watters a 'creep' and questioned whether he would use similar 'sexualized language' if describing a man. Kerstin Emhoff, the ex-wife of Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff, commented on the issue. She mentioned that there are many things to worry about, but Kamala being manhandled in the situation room is not one of them.

One condemning post read, "Jesse Waters should be fired for this. Even the two women on this panel were appalled.” Another critic expressed similar outrage, saying, "WTF?!?! Jesse Watters just said that Kamala Harris is 'going to get paralyzed in the situation room while the generals have their way with her.' What the hell? Turn off Fox News if you haven’t already. Total garbage."

An activist took the opportunity to highlight the broader issue of sexual assault, writing, "1 in 5 women are victims of rape or attempted rape. 1 in 3 women who are raped are kids. Jesse Watters jokes about sexual assault because Donald Trump jokes about sexual assault, and is a sexual predator. Women are watching. Women are voting."

Another comment linked the issue to a broader cultural phenomenon: "Why am I not surprised that this language appeals to the toxic masculinity of MAGA?"
