Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has reportedly been linked to $69.5 million oceanfront mansion in Golden Beach, Florida. However, his involvement in the purchase has not been confirmed. According to Fox News, in September, the 17,500-square-foot estate at 255 Ocean Boulevard in Golden Beach sold for $69.5 million, breaking a local sales record. Property records reviewed by Fox News Digital show the home was purchased by Delaware-based Meridian Coast LLC, which sources familiar with the transaction told The Real Deal is tied to tech billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Similar to "Billionaire Bunker, the Golden Beach is an upscale, family-oriented enclave and has its own municipal police force with strict zoning restrictions that prohibit high-rise developments, reports Luxury Launches. It is incredibly exclusive, with only about 60 homes sitting directly on the ocean sand, making the oceanfront property a rare and irreplaceable asset for ultra-high-net-worth buyers.

Has Jeff Bezos purchased Florida's Golden Beach mansion?

There is no proof yet. "I can't speak to whether Jeff Bezos is involved in this particular transaction, but from a real estate perspective, the acquisition would make sense for someone with an existing footprint on Indian Creek. The two properties would serve entirely different purposes," Devin Kay of The Exclusive Group at Douglas Elliman told Fox News Digital.

"It’s about lifestyle diversification," Miami's No. 9 agent by sales, Jordan Karp, also told Fox News Digital. "Golden Beach is the only neighborhood in Miami offering true, oceanfront homes sitting directly on the beach with absolute privacy. For ultra-high-net-worth buyers, it’s not an 'either-or’ decision. They can have a property to live, a property to entertain and house staff, or a beach home they may only visit a few times a year." "That said, I think there's a tendency to attach recognizable names to extraordinary transactions, particularly when the buyer's identity is protected," Kay added.

If Bezos is confirmed as the buyer, the Golden Beach acquisition would add to his existing $234 million real estate portfolio on the heavily guarded Indian Creek Island. In April 2024, Bezos reportedly agreed to pay about $90 million in an off-market deal for a mansion on the island. He planned to live there temporarily while preparing to demolish two neighboring homes he had bought. According to Forbes, billionaire Jeff Bezos was worth $374.1 billion as of now.
