'It was my duty to...': WHCD shooter appears in court, charged with attempted assassination of Trump

The suspect in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting has made his first court appearance, facing some of the most serious federal charges in the United States justice system. Cole Tomas Allen is accused of attempting to assassinate the President of the United States, along with additional firearms-related offenses that could carry decades in prison or even a life sentence if convicted.
