Israel launches airstrike on Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut, three suspected dead

Israel conducted an airstrike on a building in the southern suburbs of Beirut early on April 1. The Israeli military said it targeted a Hezbollah member suspected of aiding Hamas attacks from Gaza. The strikes follow Israel’s first attack on Beirut on March 28 since a US-France brokered ceasefire that came into effect in November. Lebanon’s health ministry claims three casualties and seven injuries due to the attack.
