“We have just carried out a powerful strike on the largest petrochemical facility in Iran, located in Asaluyeh, a central target responsible for about 50% of the country’s petrochemical production,” Katz said, as reported by AP.
In a video statement, Katz emphasised that Israel would continue striking Iran’s infrastructure with full force if attacks on Israeli civilians persisted. “As long as missile fire continues to target Israeli civilians, Iran will pay a heavy price that will degrade and ultimately cripple its national infrastructure and the operational capacity of the regime,” he said.

He added, “At the same time, we will continue to pursue and neutralise the leadership of terror, and strike security targets and strategic assets throughout Iran.”
The announcement follows recent Israeli and US strikes on Iranian steel and petrochemical facilities, which Israel alleges are funding the country’s Revolutionary Guards and their weapons programs.
