Israel activates evacuation plan for 28 communities along Lebanon border
Israel has announced its decision to evacuate residents residing within a two-kilometre zone from the border with Lebanon and relocate them to state-funded guest houses. The National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) of Israel's Ministry of Defence and the Israeli Defence Forces are jointly implementing this evacuation plan.

A statement from the Israeli Defence Forces revealed that this decision encompasses 28 communities. Israel's Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, has approved the plan, and the Northern Command has informed the local authorities regarding this course of action.

The statement issued by the Israeli Defence Forces outlined the involved communities: Ghajar, Dishon, Kfar Yuval, Margaliot, Metula, Avivim, Dovev, Ma'ayan Baruch, Bara'm, Manara, Yiftach, Malkia, Misgav Am, Yir'on, Dafna, Arab al-Aramshe, Shlomi, Netu'a, Ya'ara, Shtula, Matat, Zari't, Shomera, Betzet, Adamit, Rosh HaNikram, Hanita, and Kfar Giladi.

In response to the recent events, the Israeli Air Force launched an attack on Hezbollah's military infrastructure in Lebanon. This was in reaction to an earlier shooting incident in Israeli territory on Sunday morning. The conflict resulted in the tragic death of one civilian, with several anti-tank guided missiles fired toward an Israeli town and military outposts near the Lebanon border. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in response to the nine rockets fired at Nahariya and neighbouring towns.

Additionally, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have strongly condemned Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, labelling him a "direct enemy" of Israel and emphasising that Hamas poses a significant threat to the entire world. The IDF has also revealed some of the confiscated weapons employed by Hamas for attacks on Israelis. They intend to eliminate Hamas' terrorist infrastructure and weapon manufacturers in Gaza. The confiscated munitions, which represent only 20% of what Hamas had in its possession, include various weapons, medical equipment, and food of homemade Hamas production. The IDF seeks to prevent further attacks through this effort.
