Trump said Iranians are "lousy fighters, but great negotiators” and claimed they were “begging to make a deal” to end the war. The US president spoke at a cabinet meeting on Thursday, in which he said the US is “absolutely obliterating” Iran and claimed it was defeated, saying he “wiped out” its air force and navy. Trump had on Wednesday claimed the US was negotiating peace with Iran's leadership but that Tehran was afraid to admit as much due to fears of being “killed by their own people”.
