Iran claims it shot down reconnaissance drone over Strait of Hormuz; IRGC releases wreckage video

Iran released a video on Wednesday (May 6) of what it said was wreckage of a combat reconnaissance drone that its defence forces shot down over the Strait of Hormuz as U.S.President Donald Trump predicted a swift end to the war. The footage, released by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, showed people standing next to the drone wreckage. Tehran has considered a U.S. peace proposal that sources said would formally end the conflict while leaving unresolved key U.S. demands that Iran suspend its nuclear program and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
