'Ilhan complicit in $19bn scam…': Trump MOCKS Rep. Omar over Minnesota Somali fraud, launches probe

President Donald Trump said he has directed a federal fraud task force to investigate Ilhan Omar, raising renewed allegations about the Minnesota congresswoman’s past marriage and immigration status. Speaking during remarks that referenced ongoing federal enforcement efforts, Trump claimed authorities should look into allegations that Omar “married her brother,” an accusation that has circulated in political circles for years but has never been proven. “Ilhan Omar, I hope this is part of it,” Trump said. “She married her brother, supposedly. There is a lot of documentation. That means she is here illegally, and she is a congresswoman. I hope you will be looking at that.” Omar, who represents Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives, has repeatedly denied the allegation and has previously called the claims false and politically motivated. The controversy stems from questions raised years ago by some conservative commentators regarding her past marriage and immigration history.
