Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by six points, says new poll

WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leads her Republican rival Donald Trump by six percentage points, according to a latest national poll released today.

As per the poll conducted by NBC News/Survey Money, Clinton has the support of 46 per cent of the voters as against 40 per cent for Trump in a four way match up.

The poll was conducted online between September 26 and October 2.

Clinton (50 per cent) maintains the same six point lead over Trump (44 percent) in the two way match up, which remains the same as was in the previous poll conducted a week ago, NBC news said after the release of its weekly tracking pool.

Libertarian Gary Johnson is down slightly from last week with 9 per cent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein holds steady with 3 per cent, it said.

In the RealClearPolitics of average of major polls, Clinton is leading Trump by 3.8 percentage points.
