Former Mexican drug kingpin Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada pleaded guilty in a US courtroom to U.S. drug trafficking charges, during his decades-long reign as co-leader of the Sinaloa cartel alongside Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman. Facing a mandatory life sentence, Zambada admitted to running one of the world’s deadliest cartels, US Attorney General Pam Bondi said.
