Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner called the allegations 'completely insane'
The claims appear in an excerpt from investigative journalist Matthew Cole’s forthcoming book, “Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East”, published in Vanity Fair.

Cole alleges that at least $2 billion was placed in accounts linked to Kushner. Kushner has called the claims false and challenged the evidence behind them.
What Matthew Cole’s book alleges
In the book, Cole describes how Dutch intelligence officials allegedly accessed screenshots from Kushner’s iPhone while investigating a Russian military intelligence hacker.Cole mentioned in his excerpt, “The Dutch government had hacked into Jared Kushner’s phone and monitored him as he accessed a Dubai-based bank account.”

Cole further added that the account had received hundreds of millions of dollars from a bank in Azerbaijan.
Cole alleges that the arrangements involved Kushner, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during Trump’s first administration.
The excerpt describes multiple accounts allegedly linked to the three leaders. One account at First Abu Dhabi Bank reportedly received around $750 million. A second allegedly involved about $1 billion transferred to Israel through Azerbaijan. Cole also describes a separate transfer linked to defence arrangements between Israel and the UAE.
The report raises questions about possible conflicts of interest and financial disclosures during Kushner’s time in the White House. Although, these allegations have not been established as proven facts.
“By giving him access to roughly $2 billion, regardless of how the money was used, MBZ and MBS were paying for his influence within the US government,” according to the report.
Kushner calls allegations 'completely insane'
Responding to the Vanity Fair excerpt on X, Kushner rejected the allegations.“The allegations made by this author are completely insane and never happened,” he said. He said the author had failed to provide evidence to support the claims.
“No bank statements, wire transfer records, account numbers, transaction dates, or other verifiable details were provided to support these extraordinary accusations,” Kushner said.
Kushner also pointed to the investigations and scrutiny he faced during Trump’s first presidency.
“I voluntarily cooperated with these investigations, providing over 30 hours of testimony,” he added.
He said the allegations had never emerged during those investigations because, according to him, the events never happened. Kushner accused Cole of presenting false claims as investigative reporting.
“These are outrageous fabrications being presented as investigative journalism. This is not journalism,” he said. He added that the book excerpt as “a mixture of fantasy, fiction, and advocacy” and questioned the author’s motives.
