Greek Air Force plane crashes while fighting forest fire

The air force's Canadair CL-215 crashed on Tuesday while fighting forest fires at Platanistos in Evia island. After the incident, a search operation started in the area and determined that the plane's captain, aged 34, and co-pilot, 27, were both dead. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that the Mediterranean nation is "at war" with the wildfires blazing across the country.
