Despite immediate and intensive efforts to revive them through CPR, three of the individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police.

The victims, comprising a man and two women in their 20s, and a woman in her 40s, were part of an extended family group. The third woman in her 20s was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries later on.
