Fort Stewart shooting: Army base in Georgia is on lockdown after report of an active shooter
Five soldiers were shot and wounded on Wednesday morning at the Fort Stewart U.S. Army installation in Georgia before the shooter was taken into custody, the Army said in a statement. "Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m. The shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.," it said in a Facebook post. The Army did not provide more information about the seriousness of the injuries.
