Confirming on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the Foo Fighters shared a screenshot of their denial, underlining that the use of the song was unauthorized.
The song "My Hero" played as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took the stage shortly after announcing that he was suspending his presidential campaign to support the Republican nominee.
In response to the controversy, a Trump campaign spokesperson told media that they had a license to play the song.
Earlier this month, Celine Dion's team publicly stated that they did not approve of Trump's use of her iconic song "My Heart Will Go On" at a rally in Montana.
Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl had also criticized Trump in a 2018 interview with GQ, calling him "a massive jerk."
