Florida building collapse: Israeli Defense Force assists in search and rescue operations
Col. Golan Vatch has worked search and rescue operations around the globe as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces, but he calls the recovery effort at a collapsed apartment building in Surfside, Florida "one of the most difficult places that I've ever been in my entire professional life." Vatch is leading a team of 15 IDF members that were sent in to assist the recovery as dozens of people remain unaccounted for at the site.
