FBI charges Iranian citizen in connection with Trump murder plot, days after US Election results

New Delhi, November 09 (ANI): Days after the US Presidential Elections, the US Department of Justice made a revelation into Trump's assassination attempt in Butler. The Department on Nov 08 charged an Iranian citizen who was tapped by Tehran to allegedly assassinate Trump before presidential polls. Farhad Shakeri, 51 of Iran was charged as an asset of the Iranian regime who was planted to carry out assassination plots against Tehran’s targets. According to the United States Department of Justice, US President-elect Donald Trump was one of Iran’s targets. Two other individuals Carlisle Rivera, also known as Pop and Jonathon Loadholt of Staten Island, were also charged by the FBI. The two US Nationals were charged in connection with alleged involvement in a plot to murder an American journalist, a prominent critic of Iran. As per FBI, Iran targets the US & its allies in a bid to avenge the death of the then-Commander of IRGC Qods Force (IRGC-QF) Qasem Soleimani. Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike in Baghdad in January 2020 during Donald Trump’s regime.
