Emory University shooting: Suspect & officer dead after gunfire near CDC headquarters in Atlanta
A shooting near Emory University in Atlanta, close to the CDC headquarters, left a suspect and a police officer dead. The incident began with an ‘active shooter’ alert at a CVS in Emory Point. Authorities say the gunman fired at CDC building windows before being found with gunshot wounds. His cause of death is under investigation. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp condemned the attack, linking it to another shooting earlier in the week.
