Emmanuel Macron visits Notre Dame cathedral towers, re-opened after repair
French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday visited the bell towers and roof of Paris’ Notre-Dame, as they are set to reopen to public visits. Visits of the monument and masses resumed after reopening ceremonies were held in December, but the towers had remained closed. The new tour route includes new spaces for visitors, with views on the cathedral's framework, its bells and gargoyles, while also offering sights of major Paris monuments such as the Eiffel Tower.
