Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, is offering $47 to every registered voter who refers others to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments. Musk's political action committee (PAC), Elon’s America, is leading this initiative to gather one million signatures from voters in crucial swing states. These states include Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. The deadline for participating is set for October 21.

Petition Promotes Free Speech and Right to Bear Arms

The petition emphasizes the protection of constitutional rights, specifically free speech and the right to bear arms. It reads, “By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.” As an incentive, participants will receive $47 for each registered voter they refer who signs the petition.

Musk Rallies Support for Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania

At a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Musk addressed the significance of the upcoming U.S. presidential election. He identified Donald Trump as the only candidate capable of safeguarding democracy in the country. Wearing a "Make America Great Again" cap, Musk warned, “This will be the last election if Trump doesn’t win.”

While federal law prohibits payment for voter registration or voting in federal elections, financial incentives for signing petitions remain legal. Musk’s PAC is navigating this distinction in its campaign strategy.

Potential Role for Musk in Trump Administration

In a separate statement, former President Donald Trump mentioned that if he returns to office, he plans to appoint Musk to a government efficiency commission. This potential collaboration between Musk and Trump further underscores their aligned political goals.

Concerns Over Voting Rights and Democrat Proposals

During the rally, Musk also criticized recent Democratic initiatives, particularly a proposal from California aimed at banning voter ID requirements. Musk argued that such measures could undermine constitutional rights, framing them as a threat to voter integrity.
