'Don't undermine global trade order': China erupts over US push for critical minerals bloc

China has pushed back strongly against a new US plan to form a preferential trade bloc for critical minerals, warning it could undermine the international economic and trade order. Speaking at a press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said Beijing opposes any country imposing trade rules through small groups, stressing the need for an open, inclusive, and universally beneficial global trade system.
