'A whole civilization will die tonight,' Trump issues chilling warning on Iran

A whole civilization will die tonight, US President Donald Trump warned in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, in a stark message addressing Iran and the escalating war in Middle East.

In the same post, Trump said, “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.” He suggested that a shift toward “complete and total regime change,” with “different, smarter, and less radicalized minds,” could still lead to a dramatically positive outcome, adding, “maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?”

He further described the moment as highly significant, writing, “We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World.” Trump also referred to decades of “extortion, corruption, and death” coming to an end.

The remarks come amid reports of heightened military activity involving Iran. Kharg Island, the country’s most critical oil export hub in the Persian Gulf, has reportedly been struck multiple times, Reuters reported citing Mehr News, marking a sharp escalation in tensions with the United States. Axios reported, citing an unidentified senior US official, that the US military conducted strikes targeting military sites on Kharg Island.

Kharg Island is responsible for nearly 90 per cent of Iran’s oil exports. With much of Iran’s mainland coastline too shallow for large tankers, the island serves as a key gateway for the country’s crude shipments, making it strategically vital to its energy infrastructure and exports.
