Donald Trump becomes Republican frontrunner again, says latest poll

WASHINGTON: Real estate tycoon Donald Trump has once again become the frontrunner Republican presidential candidate edging past neurosurgeon Ben Carson, albeit by a small three per cent margin.

Releasing its latest polls, Fox News said that the brash billionaire got 26 per cent of the votes against 23 for Carson.

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are tied for the third spot with 11 per cent of the votes.

The popularity of Florida Governor Jeb Bush continues to dip. He has support of just four per cent of the potential Republican voters, which is same for three others - John Kasich, Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee.

Indian-American presidential aspirant Bobby Jindal is at the 12th spot with less than one per cent of the votes, while Carly Fiorina, the only woman in the Republican race, has support of three per cent of the prospective Republican voters.

Poll results comes ahead of the next Republican presidential debate hosted by Fox Business Network and The Wall Street Journal on November 10 in Milwaukee, which will focus on the economy.

Jindal is again expected to be pushed to the second tier debate.

Among the Democrats, Hillary Clinton is comfortably cruising ahead with 56 per cent of the popular party's votes.
