‘Dictatorship of one hegemon...’: Lavrov accuses US of invading Venezuela, abducting Maduro at UNGA

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov sharply criticised the United States and its Western allies during his address to the UN General Assembly on Saturday, accusing them of seeking to preserve a dominant global order and obstructing efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict. Lavrov also made several allegations concerning Venezuela and Iran, including claims about the treatment of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He further accused the United States and Israel of attacking Iranian civilian and nuclear infrastructure.
