'Confusing negotiators...': JD Vance rejects Iran snub claims, urges press to distrust Iranian posts

United States Vice President JD Vance on Monday rejected suggestions that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had deliberately snubbed him during the latest round of US-Iran negotiations in Switzerland, saying the viral footage circulating online did not reflect the reality of the talks. Speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force Two, Vance cautioned against reading too much into the incident. "I mean, trust me, I've spent a lot of time dealing with the Iranians over the last few months," he said. "Sometimes I find them extremely confusing as negotiators." Despite speculation that the talks were in trouble, Vance said discussions continued for hours after the incident.
