The Donald Trump administration has imposed a tariff of 125 per cent on China.
Further, China said that exports soared 12.4 percent year-on-year last month, beating expectations.
The Customs said that China's domestic demand market is broad, adding that the country is actively building a diversified market and deepening cooperation with all parties in the supply chain.
The spokesperson, in a statement, said that the year-on-year decline in imports in the first quarter was mainly due to the decline in international product prices and fewer working days.
