China gifts two mobile hospitals to Nepal Army
KATHMANDU: China's military has donated two mobile field hospitals and 24 vehicles to the quake-hit Nepal.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chutai, handed over the field hospitals to Nepal Army chief General Gaurav Shumsher Rana at a function here yesterday, according to a press release issued by the Nepal Army headquarters.

During the official visit by Nepal Army chief General Rana to China recently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two nations for providing two mobile hospitals amounting to 59 million RMB as grant assistance.

Along with the mobile hospitals, 24 vehicles to be used in the mobile hospitals, various accessories and eight trucks with 10 ton capacity, were also handed over to the Nepal Army on the occasion.

Nepal was struck by a devastating 7.9-magnitude quake on April 25 that killed nearly 9,000 people besides displacing thousands others.
