California’s Department of Motor Vehicles is facing a major lawsuit over plans to revoke thousands of commercial driver licenses held by immigrant truck drivers. The legal action, filed by the Asian Law Caucus and the Sikh Coalition, seeks to block the cancellation of nearly 20,000 non-domiciled CDLs. Attorneys warn the move could trigger mass work stoppages starting January 5, 2026, putting livelihoods and supply chains at risk.
