The man who climbed to the top of Frederick Bridge stated he was calling for an end to the U.S. war with Iran. DC's Metropolitan Police described the incident as a barricade situation, WJLA said, adding that negotiators and fire crews were deployed to the area and several lanes of traffic were shut down.
