Billionaire Bill Ackman's bold forecast: Kerala-origin entrepreneur to be America's president

"I think the country is ready for his message. He is young, smart, and talented, and will attract the centre to the right to win. He speaks hard truths which many believe but fear to say," Bill Ackman tweeted while sharing a video of Vivek Ramaswamy.

Amid the politically heated atmosphere for the presidential run in the United States, American investor Bill Ackman made a bold and early call that "Vivek Ramaswamy, who is of Indian descent, will run for POTUS and win!"

"I think the country is ready for his message. He is young, smart, and talented, and will attract the centre to the right to win. He speaks hard truths which many believe but fear to say," Ackman tweeted while sharing a video of Ramaswamy.

"He is a very talented and successful entrepreneur who understands business, economics, healthcare, politics, history and geopolitics. You won’t likely agree with all of his views, but you will respect his candor, acumen, discipline and energy," Ackman further added in his tweet.

He asserted that it is the improbable candidate who often wins. "Think Clinton, Obama, and Trump. Most laughed at the thought of any of the previous up until months before the election," he said.

Ackman’s comment comes as the Indian-American Republican aspires to announce his 2024 presidential bid. The 37-year-old millionaire has been doing test runs, giving speeches at various events and has been conducting fact-finding missions in Iowa.

Who is Vivek Ramaswamy?
Cincinnati is where Ramaswamy was born. His parents were Indian immigrants from Kerala; his mother was a geriatric psychiatrist and his father was a General Electric engineer. He received his education at Yale and Harvard. His current net wealth exceeds $500 million, more than enough to fund the start of his campaign in the important early states.

Ramaswamy is an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sceptic who criticises "wokeism" and socially responsible investing, according to Politico.

Vivek Ramaswamy's prominence

He got popularity months after Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian descent, unexpectedly became the prime minister of the United Kingdom. Ramaswamy first rose to prominence as an accomplished biotech businessman and drug developer who produced five FDA-approved medicines. Additionally, in 2014 he founded Roivant Sciences, a business that does pharmaceutical research.

“The threat of being labelled a “racist" has created a new culture of fear in our country - fear of losing your job, fear of your kids getting a bad grade, fear of becoming a pariah," Ramaswamy captioned the video of his speech on racism. “Fear is infectious. But courage can be contagious too."
