US President Joe Biden will attend the G7 leaders' summit in Hiroshima, Japan from May 19-21, the White House announced Tuesday.

Leaders are expected to discuss issues including "support for Ukraine, addressing the dual food and climate crises, securing inclusive and resilient economic growth, and continuing to lead a clean energy transition," a statement from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

Biden will also attend a Quad leaders' summit in Sydney, Australia on May 24, according to the statement. This grouping brings together the US, Australia, Japan and India.
