Beijing grants visa-free entry to UK, Canada
Beijing: China confirmed on Sunday that citizens of Canada and Britain will be allowed visa-free entry from Tuesday, following agreements announced after recent visits to Beijing by the two countries' leaders.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney travelled to Beijing in January, seeking to strengthen ties with China amid shifting relations with the US.

Both leaders welcomed progress in talks with senior Chinese officials, including President Xi Jinping, with visa-free travel among the outcomes discussed.
