Barking Pandas! Chinese zoo paints dogs as pandas. Here's all about the viral video
A zoo in China admitted to dyeing chow chows to resemble pandas after visitors noticed the animals panting and barking. The Shanwei Zoo's actions sparked public outrage and social media ridicule. This incident follows a similar controversy at Taiz...

The incident happened at the Shanwei zoo in China where visitors were stunned to see pandas showing unusual behavior, including panting and barking.
A video taken by a visitor showed one 'panda' panting while lying on a rock. Later, another one was seen walking with a curly tail.
The video initially surfaced earlier in May this year.
The revelation sparked widespread social media attention, with many ridiculing the zoo’s actions. One user quipped, "The people were bamboozled. The zoo really does the bear minimum." Others found humor in the absurdity, with one commenting, "Bro, this can’t be real. But if it is, it’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time."
Reportedly, authorities denied the zoo to house giant pandas. Following which the zoo authorities decided to colour the dogs as pandas.
This is not the first incident of its kind in China. In May, Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu Province faced criticism for a similar act. They had dyed chow chows’ faces and displayed them as pandas. A representative from the Taizhou Zoo had explained, “There are no panda bears at the zoo and we wanted to do this as a result.”
Last year, another zoo in China was accused of dressing a man as a bear.
