Bangladesh Foreign Minister Visit: Both sides to 'engage constructively'
New Delhi: India and Bangladesh on Wednesday agreed to engage constructively and strengthen bilateral ties. Bangladesh also sought to strengthen energy cooperation, including supplies of diesel and fertilisers from India, amid supply chain disruptions from West Asia.

The decision was taken on Wednesday during a meeting between external affairs minister S Jaishankar and Bangladesh's foreign minister Khalilur Rahman here. Bangladesh PM's adviser on foreign affairs, Humayun Kabir, was also present during the meeting. Jaishankar reiterated India's intent to engage constructively with the new government and deepen ties, according to Indian officials. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, officials said.
