Balochistan Liberation Army claims 25 Pakistani soldiers killed in dual attacks, releases video footage

On Thursday, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for two separate attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, alleging that 25 Pakistani military personnel were killed and three military vehicles were destroyed.

According to a report by The Balochistan Post, a BLA spokesperson stated that fighters ambushed a military convoy at Ziarat Cross. The attack targeted several vehicles, destroying two of them - including a military truck. While the militant group initially reported 18 fatalities from this strike, it later updated the death toll to 25.

To back its claims, the BLA released a 1-minute, 11-second video trailer via its official media channel, Hakkal, purporting to show footage from the Ziarat Cross site. The video depicts armed fighters positioned near burning Pakistani military vehicles, visible bodies, and the confiscation of weapons. The group announced that a full video of the operation would be released at a later time.

In a second, separate incident in the Hajika area of Surab, the BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) used a remote detonator to blow up an explosives-laden vehicle. According to the BLA statement, this attack destroyed a military vehicle and resulted in the deaths of seven additional personnel.
